HAUDENSCHILD AND ELDEN REUNITE IN
2005
WOOSTER, OH - One of the most popular teams in sprint
car history will ride again in 2005 as longtime friends Jack
Elden and Jac Haudenschild have reunited to hit the dirt track
trail!
In a previous relationship that lasted over eight years,
Haudenschild and Elden saw much success, winning over 30 World
of Outlaws races, as well a $50,000 Front Row Challenge victory,
the inaugural $100,000 Historical Big One, and two Kings Royal
crowns. The two men hope and look forward to that kind of
success the second time around as well.
Jamie Miller will carry the duties of Crew Chief on the
Elden Racing sprinter. Miller, owner of the Ham Signs #6 sprint
car which Haudenschild piloted in 2004, brings experience and
strong work ethics to the Elden stable. Also on board for the
2005 campaign is mechanic Gene Davis. Miller and Davis have a
long history of working together and both men are eager to get
the season underway. Jack and Carol Elden serve as owners of the
Ohio based team.
To the delight of Wild Child fans, the car will carry
the familiar yellow paint scheme, along with the famous #22
adorned on the top wing. The car will carry product sponsors of
Maxim Chassis, Butlerbuilt, Simpson, Pro Shocks, MXL Freight,
and Ham Signs. The team will utilize Kistler Engines and Hoosier
Tires.
The Elden Racing #22 is set to debut at the 34th Annual
Sprint Car Winter Nationals at Volusia Speedway Park. February
8th through 10th will be All Star Circuit of Champions sprint
cars, while the World of Outlaws takes the stage on February
11th. The Finale for the ASCoC will be February 12th, and the
team will wrap up its Volusia visit in the February 13th WoO
finale.
The team has yet to draft a complete schedule for 2005, so
